Introducing RealCloud
[blog_update content=”RPC2RT”]
Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, videos used to be trapped on the devices they were stored on, with no way to be easily shared or viewed on other devices. We would accidentally rediscover these videos once in a while and be surprised why it had taken this long. And not just the plain boring videos. Even the really important memorable ones.
Think about it – When was the last time you watched that video of your kids on the beach from 5 years ago? Or that video of your epic bathroom project that is stuck in that folder in the corner of your hard drive? I recently saw a video of my then 3-year old son reciting the entire “The OK Book” from memory (even before he had started reading). It was so exciting and exasperating to see that video from 2 years ago. Why didn’t I have that video on my iPad and Galaxy S4? I would never tire of watching it.
Now, if there is anything more painful, it would be the process of sending long videos from phones (and I mean the smart ones) to other people. Ever had trouble sending a video from your iPhone to others? Ever seen this error?
We’re finding ourselves in the midst of this decade’s “tape-to-digital”- like crisis. Remember in the early 2000’s, people were tirelessly converting their old VHS tapes to DVDs. They were afraid that if they did not do so, all their precious memories and video collections would soon be lost. They were right – VHS players are now almost extinct.
THE RISE OF THE MULTI-DEVICE CONSUMER
Fast forward to 2013. We watch our videos on many screens like digital TVs, projectors, in-car DVD players and so on. We have now evolved to not only carry laptops on our person, but also smartphones and tablets. Our team has done some research on the devices that people own and we found some interesting results.
So, I guess there is no such thing as a single-device user any more. And if you look at the data carefully, you will find that multi-device ownership skews younger. That would imply that this trend is going to continue and magnify in the coming years.
Also, consumers are splitting time between the devices they own. Here’s a chart from research conducted by Comscore and Jumptap.
The really interesting thing is that consumers are not just consumers in the true sense. They are turning into creators of videos – both short and long. We like to record videos on our smartphone, send to our family and friends, and watch the same videos on PC’s, tablets, smartphones, and TV’s. There are millions of videos uploaded to YouTube and Facebook every day. However, for every video that we upload to those sites, there are many more that we are not comfortable putting up for everyone to see. These are private videos (eg. kids in diapers, goofy frat boy stuff) that are only meant for the select few.
Moving videos between devices would have been easy if everyone had the same kind of phone, the same kind of tablet and the same kind of computer. But, we all know that Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and Amazon are just not going to let that happen. And that is perhaps a good thing for many other reasons. Choice is good after all, right?
WHY CAN’T ANYONE GET VIDEO RIGHT?
Videos are the toughest among all the different kinds of files (docs, music, photos, etc.) to get right. Did you know that there are more than 50 different kinds of video codecs? Ever run into this problem?
Or this one?
Here is a funny video that summarizes the problem from the point of view of the normal consumer.
THE SECOND COMING
We created RealCloud because we realized that if your videos are stuck just on your PCs or smartphones or tablets, you will never watch them. Remember the saying – Out of sight, out of mind. Besides, who wants to watch digital videos just on their PC? PC does stand for Personal Computer, right? In our consumer research, we found that most consumers ideally like watching their videos on the largest screen that they possess. And for most, that screen is their TV. If they are on the go, they like to watch videos on their phones or tablets. But, they really want continuity of experience. Simple example – say you are on a flight and are watching a video on your iPad. The flight is about to land and you have to turn it off. You get home and want to watch the same video on your TV. Wouldn’t it be great if you could resume right where you started?
Now, we are not saying that we are the first ones to have a go at this problem. Multi-device video viewing has been around for some time (Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and a bunch of others already do that). But, what about those videos that are just sitting there on that giant hard-drive on your PC? Or the 20-minute long video that you shot from your tablet? What about them? They need to move around too.
If you are on this page, then you probably know what RealCloud is (if not, then go to www.real.com to find out). There is now a RealCloud app for your PC, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone and for TV via Roku. We have several other platforms for which we plan to release apps soon.
When we designed RealCloud, we decided we wanted to make these things easy to do:
- Take your videos shot on your phone and watch on a bigger screen, like your TV.
- Start watching a video on your TV and finish watching it on your phone (or vice versa).
- Download videos to your device for offline viewing.
- Share your kid’s soccer game with your family, privately, without worrying that the video is too big or won’t play.
After having used it for a few months, I have to say that RealCloud does a fantastic job at each one of the above. No other product comes close in terms of comprehensiveness and quality. And RealCloud is powered by SurePlayTM, an internal RealNetworks technology, which ensures that every video you have or send will play on the device that it is watched on.
Given that this post began with a fairy-tale beginning, I will close with a fairy-tale ending. Videos are cool. They give us a more comprehensive understanding of the world around us. For some, they are memories in action. For others, they are a creative outlet. No matter who you are, videos have enriched your soul. And now finally, it is time for them to get moving. From any device. To any device. From any person. To any person. And, that is our happily ever after story.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about all that RealCloud can do. In the meantime, learn more about RealCloud and share your own video experience with the product in the comments below. We’d love to hear what you think.
I have now uploaded two videos to RealPlayer Cloud, and I have been impressed with its performance. Yes, I think it meets a critical need to make videos accessible on different devices. My fellow-scientist friend in Milan recently sent me a video that he took of my talk at a Scientific meeting in Europe. The video was in MTS format, whatever that is, which seemed to be just another incompatible video format. It is sad that so many different companies have developed their own video formats that are incompatible with each other. Nevertheless, this incompatibility creates a really great opportunity for RealPlayer Cloud to provide an elegant solution to the incompatibility problem, allowing users to freely share their videos nearly everywhere.
Where do I put code from Roku I follow directions and takes me to LA la land

How do we download videos from realplayer cloud to watch offline?
If you would like to download videos from Cloud to PC,
>Open RealPlayer > Go to library > Select RealPlayer Cloud > Right click on the video and click download.
If you are using RealPlayer Mobile App to download videos from Cloud,
>Open RealPlayer Mobile App > Go to Cloud > Press and hold the video you want to download or Click Menu/Details > Select Download.
If you have additional questions, send an email to help@real.com.
Files downloaded as dash file and cannot be played. Get the message “RealPlayer needs to download new software to play this clip”. When try to download then get the message” there is no software update available from Real to support this content’ Content types: application/dash”
Thanks
How frustrating! Some sites have introduced a new streaming standard. The latest build of RealDownloader is designed to automatically convert videos to playable .MP4 format at the end of the download. Hence, while downloading videos, you need to wait until the thumbnail of video gets loaded. After thumbnail gets loaded, video will be saved in .MP4 format. If you close RealDownloader window before it converts the video, it will get saved in .DASH format.
I have been on various pages on your website and still can’t figure out exactly what Realplayer cloud is. You tell me what it does, but what IS it? Is it media player software? Is it a cloud? Will it play video clips on webpages? Your marketing needs a lot of work.
RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher (US and Canada customers only). With RealPlayer Cloud you are easily able to:
> Upload and share videos between your devices. It’s quick and easy.
> Download your videos from RealPlayer Cloud; watch them wherever, whenever.
> Record and share video from your camera roll.
> Move videos from one device to another (i.e. PC -> iPad, iPhone -> iPad, etc.)
> Access all your PC content on your iPhone, iPad, Android or Roku over your home network with device sharing.

I tried downloading real player Cloud on my Computer and it says it will not work with my operating system. My OS is XP. My Brother has Toshiba 10″ Andriod Tablet. He gets an error message saying its not compatible. I get the same message when trying to download it on mt HTC Smartphone. Am i going to have to upgrade to win 7? Will it not work on Andriod systems?
To use the desktop RealPlayer Cloud software, your system should meet the following requirements:
– Windows 7 or 8
– Internet Explorer 9 or 10; Firefox 17 or higher; Chrome 23 or higher
The RealPlayer Cloud website will work with the above systems as well as on Windows XP and Vista, and Macintosh computers running Safari 5 or higher.
NOTE: RealPlayer Cloud is currently available in the US and Canada only.
The RealPlayer Cloud is supported on Android phones with an OS of 4.0 or higher (Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean). The RealPlayer Cloud app is also available for the Nexus 7 tablet and most 10-inch Android tablets including the Nexus 10 and Samsung Galaxy 10, there could be a few tablets which may not be compatible. We are in the process of expanding the compatibility to all available devices. I apologize for the inconvenience.
If you have additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com.
POS program. Download button only appears every so often. Restarting the browser does nothing. Uninstalling, restarting computer, reinstalling does nothing. Yes, I HAVE set the POS up correctly. The older version worked flawlessly. What happened, you hire the same a-holes that designed the Obuttfuckcare site?
Sorry that you are having trouble with RealPlayer!
However, the exact nature of the issue was not clear to me. Before I can help you, I will need some more information. Could you please be more specific about the problem you are having? Please describe exactly what it is that you are trying to do and include any error messages that you may receive. It can also be helpful to include what your computer’s operating system is and what web browser you’re using. The more specific you are, the better I will be able to assist you.

Real player cloud does not seem to support google chrome cast on the pc is that correct?
Yes, Chromecast is not available through the desktop RealPlayer application. You’ll need to install the Chromecast extension through your Chrome web browser, and open cloud.real.com in Chrome when you want to cast videos.
If you have additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com
First off, I thing the realplayer download facility is fantastic.
But, out of the blue yesterday, when I click on the tab to download a video, the box “realdownloader” appears in my taskbar but won’t open up to show me any status of the download. When I check in the download directory, 1 of maybe 5 attempts does the download. Othet files I tried appear, but with an name such as “videofile.dash” and won’t open. Can they be “manually” converted to mp4?
I deleted Real Player and reinstalled but the problem remains. I’m using either internet explorer v10 or firefox v20. The dowloader does not work at all with later Firefox versions
I have a windows 7 home edition 64bit.
Is this problem fixable?
Thanks,
George
A compatibility issue was preventing some .MP4 files from playing in RealPlayer. Essentially, the files that are being downloaded are not actually MP4s but a new streaming format that was being misidentified as MP4.
This issue has been fixed in the latest build of RealPlayer. One solution to fix this is to completely remove RealPlayer from your PC, then reinstall RealPlayer Cloud.
Note: This fix will only work for customers having Windows 7 or 8 and if you are located in US or Canada.
Try uninstalling the existing software using the instructions from this link:
https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/23994572

I recently got downloaded realplayer cloud and checked my library of videos I downloaded. how come there is no preview thumbnail like it was with older realplayers but it just shows the cloud for the video thumbnail. its difficult to see what videos is what. is there something to get the thumbnails back to how they were with the older realplayers. what I mean about thumbnail is when you go to your video file and then to your realplayer downloads and the pic for each video you downloaded. is there a way to get them back to being like the old realplayers where it showed what the video was. the way it is now is confusing and you have to click on and watch each video to know what it is.

Does not work for 2 hour movie. Cannot play get error message “Your uploaded video is being processed. Please try again shortly.” This is the from real player cloud on the web in Chrome. Will try IE and Torch, don’t think it works.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused!
Before getting into this issue, I would like to get some more information to narrow down it.
1. Does it happen to this particular video or all the videos?
2. Are you trying to access the Cloud video from PC or any other devices? (iPhone, iPad, Android device)
3. What is the length of the movie?
4. Are you able to play the video before uploading into Cloud?
5. How did you upload the movie to Cloud (via web browser or Cloud PC version)?
The more specific you are, the better we will be able to assist you further.
Awaiting for your reply.
Works perfectly. Very impressed. HOWEVER, are there any plans to offer an unlimited service? 300 gb can go very quickly when uploading video libraries.
Also, I have 2 computers both running the same version of Windows 8. However, I can only access the desktop client on one of my PCs (which is the first computer that I installed the RealPlayer Cloud client on). Any idea on what the problem may be?
This service is much better than Plex!
Sorry for the inconvenience caused!

If you have an additional question, please send an email to help@real.com
I downloaded RealPlayer cloud and the little button on the right hand corner isn’t there so I can watch it on my TV what do I do
First, make sure you have the Chromecast app installed on your phone or tablet (note that Chromecast is not available for iOS 5); if you are using a PC or laptop, you’ll need to install the Chromecast extension through your Chrome web browser, and open cloud.real.com in Chrome when you want to cast videos. (Chromecast does not support native Windows software, so it is not available in the desktop RealPlayer Cloud application.)
Next, make sure you are signed into the RealPlayer Cloud app on your device.
If you have the app or extension installed, and you are signed in, but you still can’t cast videos, power-cycle your Chromecast by following these steps:
1. Remove the Chromecast device from the HDMI slot.
2. Unplug the USB cable or power cable (depending on how the device is powered up).
3. Reconnect the Chromecast and try again.
If that doesn’t help, please send an email to help@real.com.
I upgraded to real player cloud and all the original video’s in the library of my previous version of Realplayer seem to have disappeared. Is there any way to recover the old version or access the old library.

I have been unsuccessful at uploading movie file the size of 250MB, the error file says ‘file too small’? don’t understand as i managed to upload file size of 700MB to realplayer cloud without any issues. Please help! this happens to more than 3 files with similar size.
Sorry. Please check our knowledge base for information to remove RealPlayer Cloud:

Media Clips are only shortcuts, you can freely delete clips and playlists from the Library without worrying about destroying any actual media files (unless you want that to happen).
If you have permanently removed the associated media file from your computer when you delete its clip from the Library, by selecting “Also delete file(s)…” from the “Delete Clips” dialog then I regret to inform you can’t recover those files.
If you have any additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com

Hi folks,
Today I was prompted to download Realplayer cloud to replace the free Realplayer version I’ve been using successfully for some time. Now, videos I’d downloaded, that played on the previous player, suddenly no longer work. These are MP4…
Any ideas why they worked on the prior version but not the new one? Or perhaps how to regain the functionality?
Redownloading them is not really an option as I have collected them over a long timeperiod, and never recorded where I got them from…
I appreciate your consideration and look forward to a response.
Sincerely,
Bob Reed
Sorry for the inconvenience. Try installing free codec pack like Klite and QuickTime Player. Then, you can play the video.

Hi I just downloaded this , is it free ? also my videos downloaded sideways , how do I fix that and rotate them the correct way to view ?
RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. RealPlayer Cloud includes all the functions of RealPlayer 16, as well as allowing you to upload and share videos, play them across your various devices, and watch them on your TV using Chromecast, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV. Additionally, you will get 2 GB of free storage space in Cloud.
Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
At this time, RealPlayer does not offer the option to rotate a video. If this is a home video that was filmed vertically instead of horizontally (in other words, holding the camera sideways), you’ll need video editing software such as Windows Movie Maker, software that came with your phone or camera, or another video editing program.
If the video you are trying to watch plays correctly at the source, but displays upside-down or sideways when you watch it in RealPlayer, please send an email to help@real.com
What happened to the free version of Real Player? Why do I now need an account to use Realplayer Cloud?

How to get rid of cloud but keep Real Player installed?
we have a data cap and don’t want to pay twice for files downloaded and then uploaded
RealPlayer Cloud is the newest version of RealPlayer, available for customers who have an operating system of Windows 7 or higher. Please be aware that we are no longer making any updates to RealPlayer 16 or earlier versions, and popular features such as Download This Video may not work on these versions. Therefore, we strongly recommend using RealPlayer Cloud.
If you do not wish to upload the videos, you can uncheck the “Upload all the videos to RealPlayer Cloud” option in the RealDownlader:
1. Click the Windows Start menu at the bottom left of your monitor screen.
2. Select All Programs.
3. Click the RealNetworks folder to open it.
4. Click on RealPlayer Downloader.
5. At the bottom left of the RealPlayer Downloader window, uncheck the option to “Upload all the videos to RealPlayer Cloud.”
NOTE: If you are unable to uncheck the option, please sign in to RealPlayer Cloud and then follow the instructions. The option is tied to your account, so you need to be signed in to set this preference
Hope this helps!. If you have any additional questions, please send an email to help@real.com
I’m not able to signin to Real player cloud . It take shell lot of time and just hangs there..no advances from there. I reset my password and then tried too.. No use.
I ‘m using windows 7.
Sorry for the trouble.
In order to troubleshoot this issue effectively, I will need you to provide the following information:
> Do you have any security software installed (Norton, McAfee, AVG, etc.)?
> Do you receive any error message?
> Have you tried restarting the computer?
> What version of RealPlayer is installed?
To find the version:
a. Open the RealPlayer software.
b. From the RealPlayer menu in the upper left, choose “Help” option.
c. Choose “About RealPlayer” inside the “Help” menu. A window opens.
d. Provide the information listed beside “Version” near the top of the “About RealPlayer” window. These numbers indicate the version of RealPlayer currently installed on the computer (i.e. “RealPlayer 16.0.3.51” or “RealPlayer 17.0.10.8”).
The more specific you are, the better I will be able to assist you.
I installed real player cloud then i couldn’t work because I kept getting popup ads for more real player services.
I HATE that! so I uninstalled the program.
Why can’t I just have nice useful programs without all the marketing! seriously, it kept me from getting any work done, having to close windows every few seconds.
Separate your marketing from your function for best success and satisfied consumers.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
We do have an option to configure the message. If you wish, you can reinstall RealPlayer Cloud and then follow the below instructions:

2. Click the RealPlayer Cloud logo at the top left corner.
3. Select “Preferences” from the drop-down menu.
4. Click the “+” symbol before Automatic Services.
5. Select “Message Center” and then “Configure Message Center.”

7. Close and restart RealPlayer Cloud.

While Real Cloud may be useful for some, I really don’t need the cloud service. I have been using real player for years and prefer it over the competition. Can I still get/use the old real player in Windows 8?
You can disable Cloud feature by signing out of your Cloud account in RealPlayer Cloud. This will allow you to access normal RealPlayer 16 features without Cloud.
To sign out of RealPlayer Cloud,
>Open RealPlayer Cloud
>Click on RealPlayer Menu (at the top left corner)
>Choose Sign out.
If you still would like to download RealPlayer 16, please follow this link: http://cache-download.real.com/free/support/win/RealPlayer16.exe

Can’t seem to locate where real player is storing the downloaded videos on my pc. I don’t have it set to upload to Real Player Cloud automatically (slow upload speed) but the videos are in the library on the player. They must me somewhere on the computer and I want to have them stored and organized in other folders without duplicating them.
In RealPlayer 16 and RealPlayer Cloud, the default location for RealPlayer video downloads is either:
C:Users[current user]My VideosRealPlayer Downloads
or
C:Documents and Settings[current user]My DocumentsMy VideosRealDownloader
To change the download location, please visit this link: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/24071053
Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
Follow this link to prevent videos from being automatically uploaded to your Cloud Library: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/40461017

why does it take so long to upload one 12 minute video? it’s been going on since last night and it says 10 hours left! is this normal?
Sorry for the trouble.
Upload speeds can vary greatly depending on your Internet connection speed and the size of the file. It will take a couple of minutes to upload a 12 minutes videos.
Click this link to know more about the upload speed: https://realnetworks.zendesk.com/entries/38939658
To fix this issue, I recommend you to cancel the upload and try the below suggestions.
– Clear your Transferring queue: Under RealPlayer Cloud Library in the left-hand pane of your RealPlayer, click Transferring. If any videos are displayed, right-click and select Cancel. Once all the queued videos are deleted, try the upload again.
Solution 1: Sign out of RealPlayer Cloud and sign back in.
1. Sign out of RealPlayer Cloud on your PC.
2. Sign out of RealPlayer Cloud on your mobile device.
3. Sign out of RealPlayer Cloud on Roku ( if any ) and all other devices in your network.
4. Click https://cloud.real.com and sign in with your credentials.
5. Go to Account Settings > Account.
6. Under Devices select Logout all devices.
7. Restart the applications on your PC and mobile device. Try uploading the video again.
Solution 2: Try to upload using the browser.
Go to https://cloud.real.com and enter your login credentials. After you’re signed in, click the Upload Videos icon at the top centre of the page and then choose the video to upload. You can try via RealPlayer Cloud desktop version too. Make a right click on the file and then select ‘’Upload Video’’ option at the bottom of the RealPlayer Window.
Solution 3: Verify the below instructions.
– Available storage space: If you have used most or all of your available storage space, then the upload will fail if the file size exceeds the space available.
– Internet/Wi-Fi connection: It’s possible that a dropped connection interrupted the upload or share process. Please check your connection and try again.
– Upload different file format: Try uploading other files formats. If you’re unable to upload; download a new video and try again.
If that does not resolve the issue, please send an email to help@real.com

I regret the day I started using Real Player Cloud! At first it seemed like such as good idea, especially since I had been using Real Player as my only player for years. In the past few weeks I had uploaded many videos to my cloud.
However, yesterday when I opened the player, all my playlists and many videos had been deleted. The videos are apparently not even in my hard drive any longer. I had not updated the player or done anything that should have caused this. I will never be able to recreate these lists.
Real Player support offers no solutions. It’s a kind of “So what…You’re on your own now” attitude. My recommendation; Don’t use the Real Player Cloud.
Today I was prompted to “upgrade RealPlayer.” Ok, fine. Before I knew it AGAINST my wishes it had loaded three files onto the “cloud.” I will be deleting RealPlayer from my hard drive as soon as I can make certain these files are not left in cyberspace. I do not need my media accessible from “anywhere.” and I am perfectly capable of backing up my files in independent storage. As mundane as my music/video choices may be, I value my privacy very highly and prefer to keep MY data on MY system. I cannot say how much I resent this deception and highjacking of my computer. My respect and trust in your program is irreversibly destroyed.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I see that we have already replied to the Community Post. Please respond and we’ll go from there.
We realize your concern and value your importance to your privacy. RealPlayer Cloud does not import or share your information. The videos that you upload are completely safe and secure which cannot be accessed by others. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest level of service possible.
Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
As you do not wish to upload videos, you need to disable automatic upload. In this way, you can use still RealPlayer Cloud which is the latest version and store your videos only to the hard drive. Follow the instructions given in this link to disable automatic upload: http://customer.real.com/entries/40461017
Please be aware that we are no longer making any updates to RealPlayer 16 or earlier versions, and popular features such as Download This Video may not work on these versions. Therefore, we strongly recommend using RealPlayer Cloud. Rest assured that the downloads will be saved in your hard drive.
Hope you will understand our security measures and start using RealPlayer Cloud again with automatic upload disabled!

I downloaded RealPlayer Cloud in order to download videos from YouTube. I see the download button in the bar under the video. Now, every time I start my PC, I get a pop-up that asks me to complete my setup. My question is, “What does this part of the setup do?” Does it set up an online library in which my videos are stored somewhere other than my PC? I want my videos to remain only on my PC; is this possible or does Cloud only work in conjunction with an online storage library potentially accessible to others?
RealPlayer Cloud is like normal RealPlayer where you can download YouTube videos and store them in your hard drive. Cloud is an extra feature. Use of the Cloud storage and sharing features is completely optional. We think it’s a cool–and private–way to share your favorite videos with friends and family, but there is no requirement to upload your videos to the Cloud if you don’t want to.
Cloud is a term used for virtual storage space. For RealPlayer Cloud specifically, if you upload your videos to RealPlayer Cloud, we will store them in our servers. Rest assured, no one will have access to the videos in your Cloud Library except for you and anyone you choose to share them with.
RealPlayer Cloud does not enable any one to see videos or share them automatically; that they are in complete control. There are even ways to limit what content other members on the same WiFi (home) network that are logged into the same Cloud account can see on the PC or other connected device.

Ever since getting Realplayer Cloud most of my videos have not played with any sound. After looking around it appears that Flash Vidoes no longer work and only “MPEG-4 File (.mp4)” videos still come with sound. As things stand I have to listen to my music and watch videos and VLV player, with only the most recent videos still working properly. Is there a way to fix this?
To fix this issue, I recommend you to upload the below codec’s using Internet Explorer browser.
Flash Player Plugin (Free): http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html
Shockwave Player Plugin (Free): http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/
QuickTime PlayerPlugin (Free): http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
K-Lite codec (Free): http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/KLite-Codec-Pack_Full/1094057842/3
If the issue persists, redownload the file. As you’re able to play the recent videos, I recommend you to redownload the file and try again.
Please send an email to help@real.com, if you have any additional questions.
I wish to download and save a video from a television news site (http://www.wral.com/durham-man-receives-15-20-years-in-prison-for-securities-fraud-/13905884/). However, the only part of the video that RealPlayer will capture is the annoying 15 second advertisement. It captures none of the 2+ minute newsclip. How do I get RealPlayer to capture the actual newsclip I am interested in?
Thanks
John
It seems that the video is protected. I was unable to download the original video too. RealPlayer respects DRM’s and does not enable you to copy DVD’s and download from the Internet content that is protected by DRM.
If you’re unable to download videos from web sites(like YouTube.com, Vimeo.com), please send an email to help@real.com
