1. Can I distribute the RealPlayer or RealJukebox from my Web site?
RealNetworks does not allow electronic distribution of the RealPlayer/RealJukebox at this time.
However you may distribute the RealPlayer/RealJukebox on your CD's or floppy disks through our licensing program.

2. What are the requirements for distributing the RealPlayer or RealJukebox on my CD?
Complete the on-line registration form, agree to the terms in the license agreement and submit your registration. Once your registration is approved you
will be given the location where you can download a RealPlayer/RealJukebox specifically for
distribution.
Granting of a license to distribute the RealPlayer/RealJukebox is subject to RealNetworks'
approval for quality assurance and appropriateness of material and software
bundle. Granting of a license is also subject to all United States laws and trade policies.
3. How much does it cost to distribute the RealPlayer/RealJukebox on my CD?
Distributing the RealPlayer is free for Windows, Mac and available Unix platforms.
4. Can I download and distribute software from the general RealPlayer/RealJukebox download page on RealNetworks' Web site?
The general download site is intended for individual users only. If you want to distribute the client software to five or more people, please download the software from the redistribution download site as explained in question #2.
The RealPlayer/RealJukebox you'll download is fully functional and includes some things designed to make installation easier. You'll also receive information about how to contact us regarding support so that users will not
contact you directly.
5. Can I make changes to the client software before distributing it?
What customization options are available for ISPs?
The license agreement does not allow for any alteration of the RealPlayer. If you
are a PC manufacturer, ISP or corporation, there are customization options
available subject to certain qualifications. Please contact us directly for more
information by sending email to client distribution@real.com.
Alternatively, you can develop your own custom player using the RealSystem G2 SDK. For more details on using this SDK and distribution of products built on it click here.
6. Are localized versions of the RealPlayer/RealJukebox available for distribution?
Yes, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese are available for both products. Indicate the language desired on the on-line registration form.
There are no localized mac products available.
7. I am planning on selling the CD that includes the RealPlayer/RealJukebox, will I need to pay any royalties to RealNetworks?
You may charge for the bundle that includes the RealPlayer, provided that you sell or license it at the same (or lower) fee as an equivalent bundle which does not include the RN Product.
You may also distribute the RealPlayer/RealJukebox as a stand-alone software package, but you may not charge for the package.
8. How do I report distribution?
We ask that you report distribution quarterly so we can track distribution and adoption rates. This information is helpful to us as we plan future distribution programs.
You may report distribution via email to client_distribution@real.com. We will also contact you regarding your report following end of each quarter.
9. Once I have licensed the RealPlayer/RealJukebox, will I need to include any RealNetworks logos on my Web site or CD?
You will need to place a notice in the packaging that contains the RN product which is consistent with the terms stated in our license agreement.
10. How long is the license agreement in effect?
The term of the agreement is one year. After this, you can renew the agreement
by completing the registration process including signing the updated
license agreement.,/font>
11. How do I know if there are updates of the RealPlayer/RealJukebox available for distribution?
If there is an update to the RealPlayer/RealJukebox (Gold version) during the term of the license agreement, RealNetworks will notify you of its availability. Per the terms of the license agreement, you must agree to make a reasonable effort to include the most recent version of the RealPlayer on your CD.
12. Can the RealPlayer be supported to embedded platforms?
The RealPlayer can be ported to other embedded platforms but it is not covered in this program. Please contact the oem group for more information.
13. Can I build and distribute a customized RealPlayer?
Distribution licenses for customized RealPlayers are only granted in special circumstances. If you are interested in building a customized RealPlayer using either the RealSystem G2 SDK or the ActiveX control, please describe your project in detail here.
14. I see that RealPlayer 8.0 has been released on the Macintosh. Can I
license that version for my CD-ROM?
Yes, Mac Version for RealPlayer 8.0 is now available for licensing.
Mac is not available for RealJukebox or localized versions.
15. Are Netzip products available to license?
They are not available but will be shortly. Please check back.
16. I am interested in licensing RealNetwork's Encoding (Tools) Products. What is the the process I should follow?
